SysML - looking interesting

As I've said in earlier posts I firmly believe in modelling as a design technique so I was interested when a colleague pointed me towards SysML. This is an extension to UML which tries to address some of issues effecting systems engineering rather than the more software focus of UML. I've only had a quick look but it does seem to fill in some of the areas where I've found UML lacking, for example performance.

I also noticed that Sparx's Enterprise Architect has a plug-in which is very encouraging.

Certainly worth a look.
