System Modelling is hard - but worth it

Designing solutions is a difficult task. The amount of both complexity and change can be overwhelming. I've tried this several times and while I am convinced of the value I still don't feel I've cracked the problem completely as yet.

For reference I use Sparx's Enterprise Architect tool. One of the best I've seen and very reasonably priced (note to vendors - if you want to sell a product to customers, having a sensible price is a good idea, e.g. £100 not £5000).

This topic warrants a much longer look but unfortunately not this time.
